In no particular order, a ton of images from my year. And man, what a year it’s been. I think if there’s anything I’ve wanted out of my work this year, it’s to show the beauty of God. The people. The earth. The light. The heart. It’s all ridiculously beautiful and I’m doing my best to show people how I see that. Both personally and professionally, it’s been one of the best years of my life. I became a father, again, to a baby girl in October. She’s the best thing in the world and is already beginning to change my outlook on life in the best way. With so much change in my own personal life, I haven’t had time to reflect a lot on everything professionally, but I’m looking back now and I’m proud of so much. The fact I was named a Rising Star of Wedding Photography by Rangefinder Magazine was such a shock and honor. I try not to think much about my own photography and how the people within the industry view it, but it’s a serious privilege to receive that kinda recognition. Among the weddings I shot in LA, OC, and San Diego, I had the chance to shoot in Guatamala, and Sweden, as well as New Jersey, Colorado, and Georgia, which I’ll be blogging here soon. It’s funny, I’m coming up on my fifth year of shooting weddings, and it seems like every wedding year I finish, I look back with amazement. Not at the images, but at the memories, and the fact I do this. How I have a hand in the way these couples remember their wedding, and how these will not only be with them forever, but with me. And that’s something I’ll never take for granted.
